Optimizing Network Development at Technetix Fiber Laboratory, Kosovo

We may have made our name innovating within the cable industry, but driving network evolution is at the core – quite literally – of everything we do at Technetix. In 2024, we opened a specialist fiber lab at our Kosovar operation to offer cutting-edge optical solution development to the Balkan region. Technetix VP Sales Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets, Besim Latifi, explains more about our facility in Pristina, Kosovo.
With the continued aim to improve the technology environment we offer new and existing partners, we identified that the majority of customers in the Balkans are leaning towards FTTH. There’s a problem though: product quality in this region, in combination with the level of service provided by suppliers, falls short of the mark.
This critical gap in the market presented an exciting opportunity for Technetix. We’re lucky to have the resources and skills available to offer the market better, more reliable quality optical solutions. But true to our spirit of ‘going the extra mile’, we recognized that the Balkan region lacked a facility where operators and partners could visit and contribute in-person to product development and research.
The outcome? We opened a specialist fiber laboratory in Kosovo, a welcome ‘near-shore’ alternative to the otherwise long-distance relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Our facility demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible service, and delivering the highest standards of quality.
